Box to Offer 50GB of Free Cloud Storage
Box has taken yet another giant leap forward in establishing its presence when it comes to free cloud storage. Not only has it taken steps to improve the features provided in the Box for Android application, it has also teamed up with LG in order to offer 50GB of completely free storage to all those who are using LG phones based on the Android operating system.
Up until March 21, 2012, all those registering for a Box account using their LG Android phones will be entitled to up to 50 GB of free cloud storage, making Box the provider of choice when it comes to working and storing data with the help of mobile devices.
This move takes advantage of the fact that more and more users are increasing their usage of Android mobile phones, and by teaming up with LG, Box is able to give its users the full benefit of free cloud storage, and taking full advantage of the power of mobile computing at the same time. This frees users from having to worry about limitations of storage, and it is strongly believed that the capacities of LG and Box in combination will be a great step forward for both cloud storage and mobile phone usage.
Not only is Box offering 50GB of free cloud storage through this promotion, it is also going to implement updates in the Box for Android application, which allows users to download files from the cloud onto their Android device in order to be able to access them offline, even through third party applications.
The addition of the 50GB of free cloud storage combined with the changes in the Android application are great leaps forward in making ubiquitous data access possible, transforming the way people work, both with the data as well as with each other. It is just awesome.
